How to create kaleidoscope fractal art from your photos

People always ask me how I create my kaleidoscope fractal art so thought i'd put this tutorial together on my blog for all to see.
I create my kaleidoscopes in photoshop and start with at least one base picture (it's good to choose a picture that has lots of colours, patterns or textures to get a really crazy psychedelic looking work of art.)
You then take a triangle shaped section of this picture, copy it, then rotate and flip it so it mirrors the first section, then keep copying and rotating the sections untill it fills up the canvas.
Watch this youtube video to see exactly how!

When you've made your first piece of fractal art you can then copy and paste it to repeat the pattern or create another kaleidoscope from another photo and combine these images to make something even more interesting.
You'll find even more youtube tutorials and examples on my squidoo site here
Here's a few examples of my kaleidoscope creations, they're all available to buy in my shop along with lots of other designs.
I hope you enjoy making your own kaleidoscope art.

Greeting Card Blog

Pin It I've created this blog to show some of the best selling greeting cards available to buy in my shop.
They're all created using my own photography and artwork and can be customised and personalised by adding your own text or pictures.
The quility of the print is brilliant, the cards look just as they do on your screen with highly saturated colours making them perfect for framing after.
I also have a huge variety of other products that make great gifts including iphone & ipad cases, portable music speakers, shoes, ties, jewelry, mugs, beer glasses, mousemats, skateboards, keyrings & more.

Please visit my shop here if you are in the UK. www.zazzle.co.uk/photographybypixie
or visit my dot com shop here if you live somewhere else in the world. www.zazzle.com/photographybypixie

I hope you enjoy your visit =)

This is the wettest drought on record!!

The drought in the UK is hopefully over! It's been raining here all day now so at least the farmers will be happy!
Hopefully it'll carry on all week as the ground is so dry, it's going to take a while to recover.

The plants in my garden have had a good soaking so that will keep the husband happy too!
Half of the flowers here haven't even come in to bloom this year which is a real shame as I love photographing them, I just hope our vegetables survive as there's nothing better than home-grown carrots, potatoes and tomatoes!

I do hope the sun is out next weekend though as it's our 1st wedding anniversary, we're hopefully going to Brighton for a few days and I don't want soggy fish and chips on the beach!
